About This Privacy Policy

In this Privacy Policy, “Timemore Australia”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Coffee Parts Pty Ltd (ABN 61 088 223 625), the independent owner and operator of timemore.com.au and an authorised TIMEMORE distributor and retail partner in Australia.

  • Identity and contact information: Your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
  • Account information: Your login details, saved addresses, order history, preferences and subscription information.
  • Order and transaction information: The products you purchase, order value, delivery instructions, payment status, refunds and returns. Payment card details are generally processed securely by our payment providers and are not stored by us in full.

  • Any other information you choose to provide to us.

We do not ordinarily collect sensitive information. If sensitive information is required for a particular purpose, we will collect it only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent.

How We Collect Personal Information

We may collect personal information:

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, contact us, subscribe to marketing, submit a review, enter a promotion or request support.
  • Automatically when you browse or use our website, including through cookies, pixels, tags, log files and similar technologies.
  • From service providers and other third parties, such as Shopify, payment providers, shipping providers, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, advertising platforms and social media services, where permitted by law.

You may browse much of our website without identifying yourself. However, we may be unable to process an order, arrange delivery, provide support or complete another requested service if you do not provide the information reasonably required for that purpose.

How We Use Personal Information

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Operate timemore.com.au and provide our products and services.
  • Process payments, orders, deliveries, refunds, returns and warranty requests.

  • Provide product, compatibility and technical support.
  • Verify transactions and protect customers, our website and our business from fraud, misuse and security threats.
  • Personalise your shopping experience and recommend relevant products.
  • Send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
  • Measure advertising, understand website performance and improve our products, services and customer experience.
  • Maintain business, tax, accounting and operational records.
  • Enforce our terms, resolve disputes and protect our legal rights.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, court orders and lawful government requests.

Where required by law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing, such as your consent, performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation or our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to trusted third parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:

  • Shopify, which provides our ecommerce platform and related store services.
  • Payment gateways, banks and fraud-prevention providers.
  • Australia Post, couriers, warehouses and other logistics providers.

  • Accountants, insurers, auditors, lawyers and other professional advisers.
  • Regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies and government bodies where required or authorised by law.
  • A prospective buyer, successor or adviser in connection with a proposed or completed sale, merger, restructure or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We require service providers to handle personal information only for authorised purposes and with appropriate privacy and security protections. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Overseas Disclosure and Storage

Some of our service providers operate or store information outside Australia. As a result, personal information may be disclosed to, accessed from or processed in countries including Canada, the United States, European Union member states and China where manufacturer support is required.

The countries involved may change as our service providers update their operations.

Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps required by Australian law to ensure the information is handled appropriately. Different privacy laws may apply in overseas locations.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the website and checkout functioning.
  • Remember your cart, account, location and preferences.
  • Protect accounts and transactions.
  • Understand traffic and website performance.
  • Improve and personalise the website.
  • Measure and deliver advertising, where permitted.

These services may include Shopify analytics and, where enabled, Google and Meta analytics or advertising services. Information collected may include device identifiers, IP addresses, browsing activity, referral information and interactions with products, pages or advertisements.

You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner or privacy settings available on our website. You can also adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, although parts of the website or checkout may not function correctly as a result.

Some privacy laws treat particular advertising or analytics disclosures as a “sale”, “sharing” or use for targeted advertising even where no money changes hands. Where applicable, you may opt out using our website privacy controls or a legally recognised browser signal, such as Global Privacy Control, where supported.

Direct Marketing

With your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law, we may use your contact details to send news, product information, offers and other marketing communications.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, following the instructions in an SMS or contacting us.

We may still send transactional or service messages that are necessary for an order, account, warranty claim or customer-support request.

Automated Tools and Fraud Screening

We and our service providers may use automated tools to identify fraud, secure transactions, personalise content and measure marketing.

A transaction identified as potentially high risk may be declined, delayed or referred for further review.

Where applicable law gives you rights relating to a decision based solely on automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect, you may contact us to request information or human review.

We do not use automated tools to make other decisions that are reasonably expected to significantly affect your rights or interests without providing any disclosure required by law.

Security and Retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

These measures include controlled access to systems, secure ecommerce and payment services, staff access restrictions and the use of reputable service providers.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • Complete transactions.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Maintain business and tax records.
  • Resolve disputes.
  • Prevent fraud.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it for longer.

Our service providers may maintain information in accordance with their own lawful retention obligations and backup processes.

You may also update certain account information by signing in to your customer account.

  • Access.
  • Correction.
  • Erasure.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising an applicable privacy right.

These rights may be subject to exceptions and verification requirements. To exercise an applicable right, contact our Privacy Officer.
